As per the calendar listed in your band handbook, this letter is to remind you of our upcoming Christmas concert. It will be on Monday, December 11 at 7:00pm in the High School gymnasium. This concert highlights all of the Beginning, Middle School, and High School bands.
All students are required to be at not only this concert, but all performances. Every student is an important part of his or her organization and we are working very hard to prepare music for the concert. All students need to be at the gym ready to warm up by 6:30pm. The concert will then start promptly at 7:00pm. Students need to dress nice for the concert. Please, no blue jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, etc. Bands that look nice always perform better. The concert should last approximately a little over an hour. All students will stay seated in their chairs for the duration of the performance.
Please remember that our students have been preparing for this concert and take this very seriously. We encourage you to be respectful of each performing group by staying in your seats, not talking, turning cell phones off and not allowing other children or students to be up and running around. Even though the concert is being held in the gymnasium, it should still be treated as a concert. This is difficult for some younger children to understand so we need your help in explaining to them what the appropriate behavior should be.
